In March 2013, American surfer Christiaan ‘Otter’ Bailey visited Warrnambool to assist Kylie Thulborn to spread the word about adaptive surfing and skating. Together, they organised a whole host of events and speaking engagements.
The ‘Surfing 4 All’ event in Warrnambool, was supported by a host of local agencies and volunteers, with the aim of getting people in wheelchairs to take the plunge and have a go at surfing.
Some of the participants had never been in the ocean before. For them, being immersed in water was nothing short of amazing.
The Warrnambool Mountain Bike Club is a volunteer-run community club that love to ride bikes over all sorts of terrain. The club is made up of a committed bunch of people who welcome and cater for riders of all ages and abilities.
This video is designed to let the community know that the club exists and to introduce new members to the club.
This video was presented to the Warrnambool City Council in a meeting about the future use of Thunder point as a facility for mountain biking. The club wants to continue to utilise Thunder Point as a riding track and grow the club and sport in Warrnambool.
