Are you someone who loves creating video footage of our amazing coastline – including above, around and under the sea? Then I’d love you to share your footage with the Fun4Kid’s Open Ocean Video Sphere.
I am seeking input from Beach-combers, surfers, divers, fishermen, drone flyers, water sports enthusiasts, marine scientists, bird watchers, photographers and everyone who loves Warrnambool’s beautiful coast.
I am gathering all sorts of video footage of our beautiful coastal setting – deep under water, rock pools, sandy beaches, crashing waves – to be used in a truly unique installation being created for children of this year’s Fun4Kids Festival. Read more.
Once the video footage has been collected it will be used as the basis for a series of video editing workshops in which it will be made into short, experimental films to be incorporated in Oceanarium. Info about these workshops will be announced over the coming weeks. If you would like learn how to create a short video projection for the Fun4Kids Festival then please register your interest by emailing me.

Initiated by lead artist Becky Nevin, Oceanarium is a multi-artwork installation that is being created especially for Fun4Kids 2016. Four local artists will use a combination of textile art, sculpture and video to recreate the sensory richness of Warrnambool’s unique marine environment.
Join our Oceanarium Facebook page for updates. You can also share your Instagram photos celebrating our local coastline by using the hashtag #oceanarium3280.
If you would like to make your footage available for this project then please get in contact with me and I can send you an USB with a return mailing envelop for you to deliver your footage. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions you may have. My email is email@example.com or phone is 0400484471.
Do you have completed films about our local coastline?
I also have plans for a mini theatrette to screen community films at Fun4Kids 2016. So, if you have any age appropriate short films on the theme of the ocean (surf films, marine education etc) and would like them screened please get in touch.
